AT SEMPER PORRO OUR PHILOSOPHY IS OUR NAME: ALWAYS FORWARD

WHO WE ARE

Semper Porro – Latin for Always Forward – is a coaching and development program created with the intention of building riders to the very top of the sport of cycling.  For 2019, Semper Porro has formed a Domestic Elite Team to further support the growth and development of its athletes.  The ethos of Semper Porro is rooted in the concept of always moving forward, long-term development, and relentless attention to detail.  

OUR GOAL

The goal of Semper Porro is to establish a US Cycling Development Program that will cultivate 5-Star Athletes capable of winning Grand Tours, Classics, World Championships, and Olympic Gold Medals.  The current ascension plan for US athletes centers around “talent” identification and a program heavily focused on racing. At Semper Porro, we believe that in order to succeed at the highest level, athletes need a long-term program that is focused on training and athletic development.   

In 2018, Semper Porro Athletes earned victories in 21 races at the Pro 1 / 2 level including the Men Elite National Time Trial. In 2019, our goal is to compete for wins at the national level – UCI 2.2 Stage Races, USA Crits, National Championships – and achieve 30+ wins overall.  

In 2020 the team will again be registered as a Domestic Elite Team with the aim of solidifying the team, from riders to partners to infrastructure.  

In 2021 our aim is to step up to the UCI Continental level.  We will target 40+ wins, specifically aimed at overall victories at Joe Martin, Redlands, Tour of Gila, North Star Grand Prix, Tour of Utah, and Tour of Colorado.

WHAT WE NEED

To support the long term needs of the individuals on the team, the team needs resources to allow the athletes to focus on training and development.  We are looking for partners who share our commitment to the highest level of performance possible. We also are looking for partners who are committed to year over year development and understand the need for a focused approach to racing.  In addition to equipment, we are looking at a minimum team budget of $25,000 to cover race fees and travel.
